Hello! Welcome to our FCA WY Blog.

We hope that the stories and updates here give insight into what God is doing in our square state. We want to engage, equip, and empower our WY athletes and coaches, along with our amazing FCA community of volunteers and supporters.

That’s why…

We would like to share with you in this post a follow up on our Virtual Banquet 2020:

About the Event

We were blessed to have Guest Speaker Marcellus Casey, Staff from around the State, and Student Athlete Leaders to join us live and virtually for a night of an encouraging, motivating message and testimonies from Athletes and Coaches.

Originally, June 25th would have been a night of Camp for several hundred Campers and Camp Staff @fcacampblackhills.

Even though plans changed, we were excited to have a virtual banquet and a Night of Champions, which gave us a little bit of a night of Camp. We even shared FCA's "The Four" and the Gospel message during the event!

Quotes of the Night

"I love the ministry of FCA and everything that it has done for my life - in helping me connect with the Gospel, as well as give the Gospel away. This is a ministry worthy of the kingdom of God."

- Marcellus Casey, Guest Speaker and Kansas City Chiefs Team Chaplain

"Being an athlete or being on a varsity team, kind of puts you in the spotlight. People are watching you all the time. It shows you that YOU can show people what being a Christian means through actions instead of your words....FCA opened that up for me and I realized for the first time I could do something bigger with my life."

 - Rudy, Student Athlete in Sheridan

"When I was tested this winter at indoor track and when I was at FCA, I had other Christians that were there who would say 'Trust the plan. Trust the process.' That really stuck with me so I know that even if things go hay-wire...we have brothers and sisters in Christ."

- Finley, Student Athlete in Casper

"My identity used to be in my sports...FCA has helped me become a better leader. I am more stable, not just in my athletics, but in my life.  I can enjoy my sport more and find the joy in it - instead of putting my identity in it...Praising Jesus in my Sports."

- Emma, Student Athlete in Pinedale

"[Our Pre-game foot ball team Huddle] really helps our team spiritually and also on another level outside the sport, we are talking about how we are going to overcome stuff and how if things go wrong, how we are going to come back - if something goes wrong it happens for a reason..put your faith in the Lord he releases you from that pressure and allows you to play for your full capacity."

- Carter, Student Athlete in Cheyenne

"Going to Camp and connecting with other coaches, hearing about their struggles helped me realize they feel similar struggles as a coach. As I grew spiritually, my coaching changed along with that. Just as you grow in the fruit of the Spirit...more joy, more patience."

- Coach Cates

Something we would like to share...

Even with the great turnout and financial gifts - FCA WY still needs donors who are "visionary givers," people who love Jesus and Sport and want to impact the culture and communities!

We have been updating our website's Donate/Support page to be transparent and specific with our needs.
