ACCOUNTABLE: REACH FOR TRUTH

SARAH FREYMUTH
In February, we talked about what it means to Pray The Truth. Prayer connects us to God and others, comforts us in times of distress and conforms us to the image of Jesus Christ. The closer we come to God, the more we want to stay in His presence.
This month, we dig into what it looks like to Reach For Truth and find others who will hold us accountable in our faith journey.
There’s nothing more effective than a team that moves and acts as one unit. The teams where each player knows his or her role and embraces it, where coaches unify their players to play for the bigger picture and the field is full of a relaxed and confident atmosphere. These teams know their purpose and give their best for one another.
The same can be said for the importance of finding teammates in our daily faith walk. We need to come alongside each other to stand firm on the foundation of God, build one another up and be unified in Christ.
March is all about ACCOUNTABILITY.
For the month of March, FCA focuses on how to Pursue the Truth with Reach for the Truth – Find Someone who can help you grow closer to God.
When we Reach for Truth, we invite others into the journey with us, creating an accountability that sharpens and directs our faith walk.

1) Sign up for Daily Impact Play.
The Daily Impact Play is one of many great tools and resources your coaches, athletes, and other volunteers can engage with as they Pursue Truth.
How can you utilize the Daily Impact Play in your ministry?
2) Check out March Discovery Series. Read and study with Student Athlete Leaders or Huddles.
PURSUE: REACH FOR TRUTH As we read through Scripture, we notice that Jesus spent a lot of time with 12 people called the disciples. Just as community and friendship was important to Jesus, it should be to us as believers as well. In fact, the Bible says in Proverbs 27:17 that “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” At times, we may make poor choices or may not seek the Lord’s will.
It’s in those times that a true friend will tell you when you are going off track. As you read through these Discovery Bible Studies, consider your group of closest friends. Are they helping you pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus?
3) Take a Look at Other Resources.
