Hello! Welcome to our FCA WY Blog.
We hope that the stories and updates here give insight into what God is doing in our square state. We want to engage, equip, and empower our WY athletes and coaches, along with connecting our amazing FCA community of volunteers and supporters.
That’s why…
We would like to share with you in this post FCA Wyoming's Response to the current state and global situation:
- Official FCA Response to Coronovirus
- Changes Made to Public Events and Face to Face Meetings
- Ministry is Moving Fully Online and Going Virtual
But first...
Read these thoughts from our Sate Director, Jim Hamilton.
"It is important to remember that we are making these changes in response to what is best for the safety and health of everyone. This is not out of fear, but out of love. Love God and love others - the Jesus Creed! We are also doing it out of respect for those in authority, our national, state and local elected leaders and our health care professionals. Let’s do our part to flatten the curve!
Please pray for our Staff and their families, as well."

Official FCA STATEMENT ON CORONAVIRUS
With multiple local, national and international sporting events cancelled or postponed due to the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19, or coronavirus, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes released the following statement today.
“As the world strives together to combat the COVID-19 outbreak, we at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes are praying for those who have been affected by this terrible virus and for those in leadership at all levels who are making difficult decisions for the safety of coaches, athletes, parents and fans,” said FCA President and CEO Shane Williamson.
“We also sympathize with the heartbreak that coaches and athletes are experiencing due to the cancellation of their seasons, and pray they will be shown understanding and grace.
Despite everything happening in our world, we rest on the hope and peace that only Jesus Christ can provide. John 14:27 reminds us that, ‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid’ (NIV).”

We are so thankful how God had already been providing for FCA, in these times, with huge changes within FCA technology and upgrades to our websites. As a result, our sudden shift to online and virtual ministry will not be a difficult one!
The next few weeks our Staff will be training to serve and minister virtually for:
- Virtual Prayer

We plan to start virtual meetings by first week of April. However, the official times and dates are still to be announced.

#FCAVIRTUAL: A NEW WAY OF COMMUNITY
Published on March 19, 2020
FCA.ORG
In the middle of such constantly changing times, there are a few things that stay the same: God’s Word, our call to be disciples who make disciples, and our need to grow in our faith.
For 65 years, FCA has been engaged in sports ministry, constantly innovating to effectively reach the changing landscape our coaches and athletes experience. As we look at the new reality of off-site ministry, we want to seize the opportunity and build momentum in a new, digital era.
Bottom line: we want to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
